Your best clients come back every season. Start their next lookbook from the last one instead of from scratch, and set up the team and stores so the right tailor sees the right client.
A new client costs you a consultation, a photo and a lookbook from nothing. A returning client should cost less: you know his size, his taste and what he bought last spring. Sartorly keeps that work so the next season starts where the last one ended.
Duplicate Last Season’s Lookbook
Open his lookbook from last season and press Duplicate (or Duplicate lookbook on its card in the Lookbooks list). Give the copy a title — "Jordan Hayes, Spring 2027" — and you land on its layouts.
The copy has every look, in the same order and the same layout. It is not shared and not tied to a client yet, so nothing reaches him until you send it. It keeps its own copy of every picture: deleting the old lookbook later does not break the new one.
Change What Is New
On the copy’s poses page, open any pose and tell the assistant what changed: "change the suit to a light grey flannel, keep the shirt and tie". One credit per change. You don’t pay again for the poses that stay the same, and every change is drawn from his original photo, so his face is the same as last season.
Then remove the looks that no longer fit the story, reorder them, pick a layout and send it. The note is the place to remind him what he ordered last time: "the navy has done two winters; this is the grey we talked about".
When There Is More Than One Chair
Once you have a second tailor or a second shop, repeat clients raise two questions: who looks after him, and where. Sartorly answers both with stores and roles.
Stores
Each location is a store, with its own address and phone. The selector at the top of the sidebar switches between them, and a store’s page lists the lookbooks made there. Your first store is the default and can’t be deleted; closing another store keeps its clients.
Roles
| Role | For | Can |
|---|---|---|
| Owner | You | Everything, including billing and transferring ownership |
| Admin | A partner or general manager | Everything in every store, including the team, except changing the owner or other admins |
| Manager | The person running a store | Clients, catalogue and lookbooks; invite managers and staff into their own stores |
| User | Tailors and sales staff | Work with clients in the studio and send lookbooks; no billing, no invitations |
Invite Member on the Team page asks for the name, email, role and the stores the person works in. Invitations wait under Pending Invitations until accepted. Later, an owner or admin can change a member’s stores from their page.
Who Sees His Messages
When a client writes on his lookbook, the tailor who made it is notified. Staff can’t read conversations on another stylist’s lookbooks, so his questions reach the person who knows him.
A Simple Seasonal Routine
- Six weeks before the season: list the clients who ordered last year.
- For each: duplicate his last lookbook, change the suit in three or four poses to the new cloths, remove the rest.
- Send it with a short personal note and a line about the new cloths.
- Watch the views and the hearts, and call the ones who looked.
Five minutes and a handful of credits per client, instead of a full consultation to get to the same place.
